Problem:

Duke came to us this past winter in search of a repair for the home he recently purchased. He was having a foundation issue and was looking to receive some professional assistance. His home mainly consisted of hardy board siding, with a front excerpt, and comprised mainly of brick siding. The excerpt comprised of brick siding starting showing some common signs of foundation failure in the form of stair step craps. Mr. Dukes was concerned and did not want the cracks to get any worse. He was determined to set up a consultation but wanted to follow the correct step by step process.

Solution:

Mr. Dukes first step was to reach out to an engineer, which we highly recommend. The engineer put a crack gauge on I­­t to determine whether or not I­­t was structural or a cosmetic failure. After a recommendation from the engineer to call us at Foundation ResQ, we developed a plan. The plan consisted of installing 3 helical piles on the front right corner of the home at a minimum to stabilize the problem. After a couple days of work, our ResQ Squad had the home stabilized and Mr. Duke can now rest easy that his home was ResQ’d.
